"The Doctor of Fate" tells the story of the intertwined cause and effect between mountain and sea demons and gods and the human world.
Liu Xiang was originally an existence burdened with old sins and nine-phase defects. Three hundred years ago, he lost his memory and left countless unpaid debts due to the Ruixu Incident. Many years later, he met people and monsters such as Yuanyuan, Yingzhao, Ah Hu, and Wu Jue again in the human world, and was gradually involved in old cases such as Chang Snake, Fei Yi, He Bo, Mountain Ghost, Painted Skin, and Nine-tailed Fox.
Behind every strange incident is not simply evil spirits causing chaos, but obsession, debt, misunderstanding and unresolved pain. Liu Xiang is resolving the fate of the human-monster while retrieving his past; when the Guixu reopens and the nine phases return, he finally has to face the truth that has been forgotten by him, misunderstood by the world, and swallowed up by the Guixu for three hundred years.
This is a story about repaying debts, mending hearts, remembering and letting go.
Concept: Between humans and demons, gods and old debts, there is not only right and wrong and victory or defeat, but also misunderstandings, debts, fears and forgotten wounds. Through anecdotes about mountains and seas, the story describes how obsession can cause disaster, and how love, remembering and commitment can reset broken things.
