Purpose: Taking a teahouse in Luoyang during the Wu Zetian period of the Tang Dynasty as the stage, it uses the daily operations and anecdotal records of two women to show the prosperous style of Luoyang, the sacred capital of the Wu Zhou Dynasty, and writes about the undercurrents behind the prosperity. It also explores how to maintain peace in turbulent times, how to use "records" to fight against forgetfulness, and how to still insist on brewing a pot of tea when the storm is approaching.
