A mysterious cruise ship explosion occurred on an abandoned island ten years ago. No one survived the entire ship. The official conclusion was that the fire was accidental, but 17 non-existent names were added to the list of survivors out of thin air. The male protagonist is a down-and-out investigative reporter. His sister was on the crashed cruise ship that year. The police determined that she was missing and dead. However, the male protagonist receives anonymous text messages every birthday on his birthday, which contain only a string of coordinates of the island and intermittent phrases for help. In order to find out the truth and retrieve his sister, the male protagonist went into debt and rented a boat to land on the island, only to find that this isolated island shrouded in thick sea fog all year round is home to a group of people who have been completely forgotten by the outside world. A secret private memory modification experiment is running on the island. The explosion ten years ago was not an accident at all, but an act of silencing after the experiment went out of control.
Purpose: Using the tragedy of a shipwreck on an isolated island to criticize inhuman experiments that are out of control, and to praise the courage to pursue the truth and defend life and justice.
