If there is any similarity, is it purely coincidental?
Not really. From the time I started writing it, I had already decided that it would be a semi-autobiographical memoir. Many of the characters, places, things, and major events that appeared in the article were actually adopted or changed from the real world. At first I wanted to write it out because I was reminiscing, but life keeps moving forward, so why is there any need to reminisce? They say just do good deeds and don't worry about the future, but sometimes you stop moving forward and when you look back, you will think of the touching past. The reason why it is said to be semi-autobiographical is because the other half is also a thank you. I am grateful for that time and my teachers, classmates, friends, parents, and relatives who supported me. Without them, it would be difficult for me to get to where I am now.
There is no endless banquet, no endless youth. Every time I grow older, I say that I have aged ten years, and I am suddenly out of touch with the times. Even if I do the same thing now as before, I just sit and sigh, wasting time in the rushing years. But every time I talk about the past, the person who went through that period, and the other people who were with me, they still smile. Everything is a joke.
If we cannot catch the tail end of the times, we can at least look back at our own shadow - a past filled with gold.
