A woven bamboo recliner shook my whole childhood.
Grandma sat on it and said that grandpa looked like Chairman Deng. She said that when the apricot tree grows up, I will grow up.
In her second year of junior high school, she got up from the recliner and never came back.
Later, my uncle moved it out again. After finishing the farm work, he would lie on it and enjoy the wind, just like grandma used to do.
Later, my father called and said that the old house was cracked and the recliner was still under the eaves.
It was raining outside the window. I picked up my raincoat and put it down again.
Not going today.
I stood by the window and watched the rain, like every rain before, fall and fall.
Purpose: To live is to be sat on and needed. Even if it's just an old bamboo chair.
