"Warhammer Empire History: Extra - Fifty Thousand Years Later"
The fiftieth millennium after the fall of the Emperor of Mankind.
The Golden Throne has been silent for fifty thousand years, and the light of the star torch flickers on and off in the subspace storm, like a lamp that is about to burn out. Holy Terra still chants the Emperor's holy name, but between every prayer, there is an increasingly difficult to conceal doubt - will He come back? Can He come back?
No one dared to ask, but everyone gave the answer with actions.
The High Lords' Council splintered into twelve competing factions, each claiming to be the true heir to the Emperor's will. The Archmagos of Mars of the Adeptus Mechanicus began an internal debate that lasted for three thousand years. The focus of the dispute was only one sentence: "Is the Emperor a human or a god?" - And this question, someone was executed for raising it 50,000 years ago.
At the eastern end of the Milky Way, a force calling itself the "New Star Cult" has quietly emerged. They claimed that the Emperor never really existed and that what sat on the Golden Throne was a mutant corpse tainted by the Warp. Wherever their fleet passed, Anglican churches were razed to the ground and icons were melted into cannonballs.
And deep in the Eye of Terror, the oldest and most terrifying enemy finally arrived for the moment it had been waiting for for fifty thousand years. The laughter of the Chaos Gods echoed in the warp, because they knew that the first truly fatal crack in the faith of the human empire was emerging.
But there is another legend, quietly spreading in the most remote frontier worlds.
Legend has it that at the moment the Golden Throne falls, the Emperor's last secret will be revealed. Legend has it that of the twenty-one Primarch bloodlines scattered throughout the galaxy, there is a branch that has never been recorded in any archives. Legend has it that in some forgotten world, there exists a truth that even the Emperor himself chose to seal away.
For this legend, the twelve Grand Inquisitors of the Inquisition used extreme methods that had been banned for 40,000 years.
For this legend, the prophets of the Eldar Craftworld stopped singing and stared at the same coordinates in silence.
For this legend, a figure emerged from the last eternal bastion of the Imperial Fists - no one knows how long he has been sleeping, and no one can explain why he is still alive. His power armor is covered with corrosion marks of fifty thousand years, and his eyes are still as calm as stone ten thousand years ago.
His name is Roger Dorn.
He had one unfinished business.
And hidden in the middle of his breastplate was a fragment of blanket folded with sharp edges. It once belonged to a battle sister who did not want to be engraved on the monument. Her name has long disappeared from the official archives of the empire, but in his memory, she is still alive.
Fifty thousand years later, the galaxy burned again.
All foreshadowings will be revealed and all debts will be repaid.
