Five years after the natural disaster, the earth is still cracked. The gray fog has not lifted, monsters are running rampant, and isolated and helpless survivors are scattered across the Central Plains.
Changning City, the last fortress of 30,000 people. Two factions in the city debated - shut the door and defend yourself, or send people out to tell others "there's still a light on here."
A five-man search party was eventually dispatched. Five years, one car, fourteen coordinates.
The captain, Ying Zhou, is a physical enhancement major, silent but able to carry the weight of the team; Nangong Li, a plant and space major, is twenty-two years old, gentle and calm, but is the emotional anchor of the whole team. There are also Xie Xingchi who is the fastest runner, Shen Zhihan who can control ice like a knife, and Qin Xu who can ignite fire and warm people. Five retired special forces soldiers and a military-modified RV set foot on the wilderness.
They help teachers and students repair power grids in abandoned university campuses, teach people to farm in new valley towns, purify water in underground tunnels, and rescue people in villages controlled by fish monsters. Every time they go to a place, they only do one thing: leave an invitation letter - they don't force anyone to move, they just tell the other person that there is an open door in Changning City. Come if you want to learn skills, you can move here if you want, and it doesn't matter if you don't want to come.
Five years of journey, fourteen stops. Some people came, some stayed where they were, and some learned skills and went back to build their own homes.
This is not a "save the world" story.
This is the story of five ordinary people who drove a long distance and handed the warmth of one city to another.
There is wasteland outside the window, and home inside the car.
This is my first time writing an article. If you don't like it, just leave. Don't complain. Thank you.
Concept: The world will not be saved by a single battle, but it can be reconnected by a thread.
