Synopsis
Charles IXAix/Leo Theseus fanfic (bg, the author is not a dream girl, and I don't even recommend it. Don't worry, read it, no leather cover, no OC, you can substitute it, the plot is oriented.) Hello, I am Leo Theseus. Perhaps you are more familiar with another name - Ax (X). If you are interested in hearing a story about fire, loss and search, then this book may allow you to see a little familiar shadow between the lines. It all started with a somewhat comical misunderstanding: in a dark bookstore, a girl pointed at my hair and exclaimed, "It's on fire." That was the first time I met Y/N, and it was also the first time I realized that this red hair, which always caused some trouble, could actually become a symbol of "beautiful as fire" in someone's eyes. She said that the flame has three layers: outer flame, inner flame, and flame core. I didn't fully understand this metaphor at the time. It wasn't until later, when the wind of life blew violently, that I gradually understood its meaning. This book records the burning and transformation of a small flame. It is about my father, a military doctor, whose faith was like a warm inner flame, burning silently on the distant battlefield, and who tried to protect us from the biting cold with "delayed letters" until the last moment. It is about Y/N and her family. Their existence is like a bright outer flame, illuminating my gloomy teenage years with wisdom and kindness, but they also suddenly moved away due to the suspicion of the times, leaving a scorching trail. It is also about myself, how I try to protect that little flame called "searching for answers" amidst the ashes of successive losses, carrying memories and questions on my back, and embarking on a road that is longer than I imagined. "Flame" here is specific and subtle: it is hair, it is eyes, it is belief, it is inheritance, it is the light that can be recognized at a glance even in a sea of people and belongs to a certain soul. It is warm, but also fragile; it illuminates the way forward, and may also be blown away by the wind. You will see how war can easily extinguish some flames, how prejudice and fear try to distort its shape, and how hope, courage, and connection can make this little light shine in desperate situations. This is not just my personal story. It is a mirror that reflects countless ordinary people who were caught up in war and change in that special era. Soldiers, military families, immigrants, children, their tenacity, helplessness, separation and rebirth. It's about how family love continues in the clumsiest and deepest way, about how friendship across cultures and situations can provide redemption, and about how a teenager tries to understand the madness of the world after huge trauma and comes up with the dangerous yet naive idea of changing something. If you're familiar with the "later" thing, you'll know that the final shape of the flame may have deviated from its initial warmth. All choices have their consequences, and all roads begin with the first footprint. This book is about those footprints. How those seemingly reasonable choices, sincere emotions, and determined pursuits are intertwined step by step, eventually leading to an ending that no one can call a winner. (This is what I think is a truly good tragedy: there are no bad people, only ordinary people, moving forward in their own light, but together they compose an elegy.) But even so, I still hope that when you close the page, you will remember not only the deformation of the flame in the wind, but also the light and heat it once and always can bring. May we all recognize the flames of each other's souls and provide comfort; may we cherish peace and respect the burning of every life; may all tortured souls finally find peace and reunion. This is my story. It is also a long letter dedicated to all those who strive to burn, recognize each other, and protect the fire in their hearts in the torrent of the times. ——Leo Theseus (Aix) Mission: World peace, inheritance and hope.
