This is a story about "new life".
Three hundred years after the war, a new city grew out of the ruins. Someone is digging up fragments of the past from the shadows of old industrial areas and selling them to anyone who wants them. Others were grinding coffee, listening to records, and waiting for the other person to come home in a south-facing apartment. These two kinds of people live in the same city and should not have crossed paths.
But they met.
Ji Leng spent the first half of his life dealing with the remains of the old era - the equipment dug out of the ruins, the technical fragments circulating on the dark web, and the cases that left him powerless. He lived like a wall, thinking that in this way he could keep out the weight of the old era. Yang Chunhe climbed over the wall in a way he had not expected - not by smashing it open, not by knocking it down, but by placing a pot of flowers in the crack of the wall and watering it a little every day.
This is their new life. It's not that the weight of the old era has disappeared, it's that someone is willing to carry it together. It's not that the powerlessness is cured, it's that someone knows it's there. It's not that the wall was demolished, but someone climbed over it and planted flowers inside the wall.
Concept: The war destroyed the old world, but the new world is not waiting for it, it is built day by day by ordinary people.
Three hundred years after the war, a new city has grown out of the ruins, and the old fragments are still circulating in the dark, but in the apartment under the sun there are people grinding coffee, painting, and waiting for another person to come home.
This is a new life for everyone, and for both of them.
It's not that the past disappears, it's that someone is willing to carry the past with you and move forward. It's not that life has become perfect, it's that the lives of two people are put together, and the gaps in each are just filled by the other. It's not "you saved me", it's "you made me dare to admit that I need you" - and then we live together.
