The historian always pauses before writing. It's not for discretion, it's because everything about these two brothers is a prophecy.
The character of Jian'an is one of the three outstanding figures of the Cao family. When people talk about poetry, they say that Cao Gong is ancient and upright, Chen Wang is the only one, and Emperor Wen alone is among them. It is like the half eclipse of the moon, which cannot be clearly seen. But they forgot - it was he who wrote China's first literary criticism, and he was the first to say that "articles are a great cause of governing a country and an immortal event." He knows everything. He knows that his brother writes well, knows how future generations will judge him, and knows that every time he does something, he will be compared with those talented people, and then lose.
Even if you lose. But he is still alive, and those talented people are still living under his rule. Every thank-you note is a famous poem passed down from generation to generation, and every humble word is like a thorn. In the fourth year of Huangchu's reign, King Yongqiu and King Baima were in the same dynasty, but officials did not allow the two kings to return to the feudal vassal on the same road. King Chen Si wrote "Giving the White Horse to Wang Biao", which is still full of anger when read through the ages. But no one asked: What were the people who were not allowed to travel with them think about when they stood at the top of Luoyang City and saw their younger brother's car heading west alone?
According to historical records, when Emperor Wen of the Qin Dynasty died, King Chen Si wrote a memorial, "I admire the three good men and am willing to share the same cave" - I wish to be buried like the three virtuous ministers of Qin Mu Gong. Is this true love or an article? No one knows the answer.
But we might as well imagine it this way:
In the spring of the 22nd year of Jian'an, a night banquet was going on in the West Garden of Yecheng. After getting drunk, Cao Zijian asked for paper and pen, and finished it with a swipe of his hand. The whole house was in an uproar, and the man with the most unique facial features sat in the banquet and slowly drank the wine in the cup. The wine was cold, but it was hot when it hit my throat.
Zijian turned his head and asked him with drunken eyes: "Brother, how well do I write?"
He looked at his brother for a long time.
"Okay."
That "ok" was never mentioned again by anyone afterwards.
Intention: The road of life is long, and changes only happen in a moment, so cherish the moment.
