A painter who grew up in the border area always heard his family talk about the prosperity of Chang'an.
The old traces of family decline are hidden in the ancestral brushes; the unseen hometown lives in the whispers of the elders.
After he became an adult, he packed up his painting tools and went to Chang'an. The people he met along the way all had stories related to that city.
And what he is looking for may not just be the Chang'an in his memory.
Concept: The young painter traveled to Chang'an following the memories of his ancestors, recording the past of all living beings along the way, and piecing together a three-dimensional and vivid Tang Dynasty from the stories of countless people. Revealing the ups and downs of ordinary people under the prosperous Chang'an, interpreting nostalgia, longing and regret, the protagonist completes self-reconciliation on the way to find the city, and understands the true meaning of hometown and inheritance.
