Protagonist
Jiang Yi (Gong, 27 years old): Captain of the city bureau's serious crime detachment, decisive in killing, cold on the outside but hot on the inside, patient with long-term feelings, and the one who is tempted first.
Lin Zhixu (Shou, 25 years old): Inspector of the Chengdong Branch, with superior logic, integrity and purity, a standard steel straight man, who realizes things later.
Important supporting role
Ji Yang (25 years old): The chief forensic examiner of the city bureau, a classmate of Lin Zhixu at the police academy and also a young boy. He has a venomous tongue and assists throughout the process.
