Bai Ling didn't know how long he lived.
He only knows that he is very tired - so tired that everything looks like ashes, so tired that he has no interest in anything, so tired that he can only feel a moment of reality in destruction and blood. Eternity is not a gift to Him, it is a curse. He was trapped in this body, watching the rise and fall of civilization day after day, watching the birth and death of life, and watching himself being swallowed up by nothingness bit by bit.
Until that day, He met Black Zero.
An existence that is as eternal, as crazy, and as gnawed by nothingness as Him. A person who could come back as if nothing had happened after being killed by Him.
At that moment, Bai Ling became curious about something other than "living" for the first time.
Black Ling didn't know why he wanted to entangle Bai Ling.
Maybe it was because that bloody smile was too bright - so bright that it seemed to burn a hole in His heart that had been dead for thousands of years. Maybe it was because it had been so long since he had met someone he found "interesting." Maybe it's just because two people who are also standing on the edge of the abyss are destined to attract each other.
So He stayed. Time after time, year after year, century after century.
He watched Bai Ling change from indifference to care, from resistance to acceptance, from "You are very interesting" to "I can't live without you." He spent three thousand years waiting for an answer.
This is a story about two madmen. They met through killing, got close through temptation, and learned what "care" means over a long period of time. This is not a beautiful love story - it is full of blood, madness, paranoia and hurt. But it's real.
Because at the end of eternity, they will have nothing but each other.
Intention: Nothingness cannot be filled, but it can be shared.
