After transmigrating to 1990s Hong Kong, Sheng Yongshan becomes one of the first female armed police officers.
Her motto in life changes too: the most important thing in life is to be happy~
Like the heroines in Hong Kong TV dramas, Sheng Yongshan calmly patrols the streets with her gun, calmly stops crimes, calmly gets bitten by a criminal, and calmly...
gets her golden finger.
[Mission: Catch a criminal during the rest of today's patrol
Mission details: To become a competent investigator, observation is one of the most important skills. During your next four hours on patrol, use your powers of observation to catch a suspicious criminal.
Mission reward: Eliminate the risk of HIV infection
Mission penalty: Fail, and you'll contract HIV. Game over.]
To stay alive, Sheng Yongshan is forced to keep catching criminals and matching wits with them.
But the criminals speak with such strong TVB accents that the brave female detective keeps cracking up.
“Sir, you've got to have principles, right?”
“Madam, you can eat anything you want, but you can't go around saying whatever you like.”
“Sir, believe me, I really didn't kill anyone...”
The more cases she solves, the more generous the System becomes with the skills it gives her.
Crime scene investigation, fingerprint identification, footprint analysis, bloodstain analysis, crime scene reconstruction, forensic botany, cranial reconstruction...
One impressive skill after another violently floods her mind.
In less than a year, Sheng Yongshan becomes a shining star in the Hong Kong police force, as well as a brave female detective and a brilliant woman strategist.
But why is that officer surnamed Xu looking at her more and more strangely, more and more sharply...
Note:
1. This is not a Sister of Gunner fanfic. I just rewatched some old Hong Kong films and couldn't get over how cruel the screenwriter was to Chan Sam-yuen. It was the biggest shadow of my childhood, so I've decided to be the heroine's loving mom and shower her with affection. Don't read if that's not your thing.
2. The golden finger is overpowered. This isn't a conventional crime investigation novel. Cases are solved through technical skills, and there are plenty of feel-good everyday scenes, with very little deduction.
3. The author is begging you to add this to your collection~
Theme: Justice fears nothing.
