Synopsis
He locked himself in a bookstore for three years. Zhou Jinyan was once the most dazzling genius at the Conservatory of Music, until his doctorate was replaced, his works were plagiarized, his mentor betrayed him, and he was humiliated by the entire Internet. He hid all his pride and wounds in the attic of the "Rondo" bookstore, used his poisonous tongue as an armor and his loneliness as a shield. He organized the bookshelf day after day, wrote some music that would never be published, and talked to himself in a pot of pothos called "Little Green". He thought this would be it for the rest of his life - one person, one shop, and a door that would never be opened to anyone again. Xunwu is the youngest chief surgeon in the cardiac surgery department. He is calm, rational, and as gentle as the ocean with a constant temperature. He always has lemon candies in his pocket and remembers what everyone likes to eat, but he can't remember how much he lives in - anyway, that empty apartment has never been a home. The first time he opened the bookstore door was just because he took another look at the old music scores in the window as he passed by. He didn't know that behind that door sat a man covered in thorns that hurt when touched. This is a story about "breaking" and "catching". When two people who have been hurt in different ways get close to each other, they are not saving each other, but slowly learn from countless daily details - a piece of sugar, a cup of warm water, a bowl of boiled instant noodles, a late-night good night phone call: It turns out that one does not have to carry it alone, it turns out that one can be loved, it turns out that the wound will not disappear, but it does not hurt so much if someone is with you. The gramophone in the bookstore always plays Haydn's string quartets, and the stars can be seen from the skylight of the attic. Here is a hedgehog with a hard mouth and a soft heart, a gentle and restrained doctor, a group of noisy but reliable friends, and those nights that have been cured, are being cured, and will never have to be faced alone again. Welcome to "Rondo" - open the door and listen to their stories. Intention: Scars can be seen, brokenness can be caught; love is not about saving, it is about hurting with you. The core idea of this story revolves around three levels: First, about trauma and healing. It tells us that people who have been hurt don't have to "pretend it's okay" and don't have to "be strong alone." Those broken, imperfect, and even ugly wounds can be seen by those closest to them and can be gently received. Healing does not mean that the wound disappears, but that someone is by your side and says, "I will accompany you in pain." Second, it's about self-worth. Zhou Jinyan's story asks a question: when the world denies you, abandons you, and defines you as a "loser," do you still dare to believe that you are worthy of being loved? The answer, he slowly learned, was that it was worth it. Not because of talent, not because he has become better, but because he is worthy. Third, about the nature of love. The relationship between Xun Wu and Zhou Jinyan is not a fairy tale of "a prince saving a princess in distress". Xunwu didn't avenge Zhou Jinyan, didn't help him get out of the shadows, he was just there - with candy in his pocket, holding the lover in the nightmare in his arms in the middle of the night, and still came back after the other party said "get lost". This kind of love is not about saving, but about companionship; it is not about changing the other person, it is about accepting the other person for who he or she is. Ultimately, what this story wants to say is: you can be broken, you can be imperfect, and you can occasionally lose control; but you are still worthy of being loved, and you can still slowly regain yourself in someone's arms. This is the idea of "Rondo" - not the repetition of destiny, but the presence of someone walking side by side with you in the gyration.
