Adrian Moore never imagined that his death would be the beginning of something else.
He died in this world in a senseless accident - a subway derailment, with shards of glass piercing his heart. However, the consciousness did not dissipate, but fell into an endless gray-white corridor.

Each corpse had its eyes open, with the last fear or unwillingness solidified in the pupils.
This is The Terminal Gallery - the dumping ground of time, the morgue of all "murdered history".
And Adrian discovered that he had the only ability: if he looked into the eyes of any corpse, he would be pulled into that person's last moments and occupy that dying body.
He is not traveling through history.
He is claiming death.
