Her mother passed away in childbirth, and her father cared deeply about her sister who suffered from heart disease. Anjiu endured the neglect of her native family, school bullying, and workplace harassment alone. Under layers of pressure, An Jiu suffered from severe depression. When he returned home after a consultation, an evil thing seized his consciousness and built countless infinite copies based on his pain, coercing players from all over the world to enter. Pei Yuan, a psychiatrist who had treated him, entered the dungeon and realized that the entire infinite world originated from An Jiu's inner demons. Pei Yuan made a lot of friends (retired police detective Li Xiao, forensic doctor Su Qing, folklore and ancient book researcher Chen Shuyuan, and clinical psychology student Wen Wan). Everyone is willing to stay in the infinite world forever and become resident NPCs in the dungeon. The various worlds of poor families, bully classrooms, and repressive workplaces are reproduced, bit by bit, to redeem the fragmented An Jiu, and piece together the soul that was split by pain. In the end, all the members joined forces and discovered that evil things feed on pain, and An Jiu finally faced his inner demons. Pei Yuan led everyone in the dungeon to overcome their fear and escape from the dungeon. The evil creature lost its nutrients and eventually collapsed.
Purpose: Focus on trauma and redemption, tell the story of broken souls healing each other and regaining themselves in desperate situations, explore the impact of native family and school bullying, and convey the power of facing pain and embracing hope.
