Mr. Franz von Stein will always think of that sunny afternoon in 1934. He and his dear friend were riding bicycles through the golden wheat fields. The sun was shining on them. They closed their eyes in great comfort. The plains were thousands of miles below their feet, as if they had reached the light, and everything seemed to be beautiful forever.
It was their first and last time riding a bike together.

"Hey, Franz." Paul raised his hand to wipe the tears from his eyes.
"I won't cry anymore, Franz. If you're optimistic, I can live for another thirty years. Instead of crying for thirty years, it's better to live for thirty years with a smile. At least when someone pushes us up to die, we can die in a decent manner."
