Heaven and earth have a permanent way, and all things have fixed roots. From ancient times to the present, the years have passed, the cold and the hot have pushed each other, and the day and night have changed. Nothing has always stayed in the same state, and nothing has always stayed in the same form. People in the world are wandering around the world, ups and downs in the world, affected by gains and losses, disturbed by honor and disgrace, restrained by circumstances, and confused by sounds and colors. The heart flows with all things, and the nature fluctuates with all phenomena. It is anxious and uncertain, and it is difficult to settle down. It is devoted to external things all its life, and cannot be clear for a moment.
As everyone knows, what is ever-changing is the superficial appearance of the world; what is unchanging is the origin of Tao. The movement of heaven and earth continues to change, but the essence of carrying and covering things remains unchanged; the sun and the moon alternate between waxing and waning, but their nature of shining on the people remains unchanged; the rivers have nine twists and turns, but their ambition to run across the sea and worship the emperor remains unchanged. Standing in the world, looking up to the heaven and earth, experiencing joys and sorrows, and experiencing all the ups and downs, if one can stay true to his origins and observe all changes quietly, there will be mountains and rivers within an inch, and he will be calm in the storms and calm in his mind.
I felt that the world was in chaos and people's minds were impetuous, so I became gentle. Explore the principles of the movement of heaven and earth, identify the causes of people's confusion, stand firm on the foundation of mind and body, understand the way of tempering one's nature and self-cultivation, and achieve a state of transparency and confusion-free. Divided into five chapters, every word follows the ancient meaning, and every sentence is coherent to make it clear: all changes are illusory, but the source is true; all phenomena are illusions, but the mind is fixed.
Purpose: See the world and understand everything
