Synopsis
This is a master's degree youth coming-of-age novel set in Nanheng University, a 985 university. The story revolves around Lin Zhixia's learning, scientific research, laboratory life and emotional changes after joining the research group. It describes her process from being confused and unadaptable when she first entered the postgraduate stage, to gradually becoming familiar with the laboratory, understanding the rules of scientific research, facing the pressure of the project, and slowly growing up in experiments, group meetings, getting along with teachers and daily life on campus. The core of the novel is not only love, but also the master's and doctoral life itself: project proposal, group meetings, failed experiments, tutor's requirements, relationships between seniors, dinners with fellow students, late night data modification, early morning rush to the campus bus, as well as the anxiety, persistence and self-doubt that are difficult for outsiders to understand. The relationship between Lin Zhixia and Zhou Yan is not a sudden romance, but slowly grows as they face the pressure of scientific research together, understand each other, and support each other. This novel is mainly aimed at readers with master's degrees, Ph. D.
