Lu Du, who was ranked among the top three in the city, retired to No. 2 Middle School in the north of the city because of his father's illness, and met Cen Xu under that dead tree. They shared physics formulas and three years of silence, but never promised a future. Many years later, Cen Xu, an engineer, returned to inspect the project and saw Lu Du, as a supervisor, standing under the scorching sun to check the drawings. The two looked at each other through the dust, just like the unfinished experiment that year, the data returned to zero, and there was no more intersection.
