A novel based on real choices

Wedge·Jamsil Street
In Seoul in March, the wind is still cold.
Holding a stack of resumes that had been revised for the third time, she walked out of the rental house and prepared to go to Jamsil-dong for an interview. The phone vibrated again and again - my mother's long voice message, I knew the content without having to click on it: Go back to China to take public exams, have a stable job, don't waste time in Korea.
Liang Yanlei, 20 years old, has just graduated and is looking for a job in Seoul. A long-time fan of CARAT, he knows the support methods of all generations, has bought all the carat plates, and is familiar with various jokes about Going Seventeen. But she came to South Korea not just because of star chasing. She wanted to try how far she could go on her own.
There was a queue at the door of the coffee shop. She lowered her head to scroll through her phone, and on the screen was the preview photo of SEVENTEEN's new album - Quan Yuanyou standing at the edge, wearing a gray sweater and with indifferent eyes.
A tall man in a black sweatshirt walked past her. The hat was pulled down low, and the mask covered most of his face. But she recognized those eyes.
Quan Yuanyou.
Her heart skipped a beat. He didn't look at her and kept walking. She didn't buy coffee, and her eyes followed his back until he disappeared around the corner. Then she turned around and ran for the interview.
The interviewer asked her why she wanted to work in this field.
"Wanting to follow in someone's footsteps," she said.
Not to chase him. It's about following your own path. That road happened to be in the same direction as his.
She watched his live broadcast that night and wrote in the barrage: "I said during the interview today that I wanted to follow someone's footsteps. I was a little nervous but I said it. Now I'm listening to Yuanyou's voice on the way home."
The moment she sent it, tens of thousands of comments drowned out her words. He didn't see it. But she said it.
