This is a story about eight preschool education graduates struggling, lying down, getting up, and lying down again in an absurd industry. There is sex, love, power, desire, workplace bullying, gray areas within the system, the daily lives of the second-generation rich and second-generation officials, and the existence that ordinary people grit their teeth and swallow.
Join the job at 25 and retire at 50. In the intervening twenty-five years, the CASA class and the kindergarten transition class rotated back and forth.
The policy says that male kindergarten teachers must work until they are 63 years old, but they can no longer work in this profession after 50 years old. In the intervening thirteen years, no one cared.
I can't complain.
