"Regret Under the Osmanthus Tree" uses the autumn osmanthus of Chuanyi Middle School as the background. It tells the story of the gentle and introverted girl Wen Yu and the clear and bright young Lin Zichuan, from their unexpected first encounter on Ginkgo Road, to their quiet heartbeat in the library, to their youthful companionship and mutual redemption. Wen Yu became connected with Lin Zichuan because of literature, and with his encouragement, he broke through the learning difficulties and bravely stood on the field; Lin Zichuan shed his edge in Wen Yu's softness, and learned to be honest and cherish. Ye Qinghe, the classmate at the same table, cherished his thoughts and became their most precious friend with gentle protection. A group of teenagers walked side by side in the classroom, library, and playground. After experiencing ambiguity, minor awkwardness, and reconciliation, they turned their youthful love into the motivation to pursue their dreams together. They made a promise on the Osmanthus Festival, sprinted together in the exam, grew up in the understanding of their teachers and the blessings of their friends, and hid the joy, hard work, anxiety and miss of their youth in the fragrant osmanthus trees, leaving behind a sweet and healing high school time with a touch of regret.
