Synopsis
Holly is born in winter. It snowed heavily that year, and grandma said that this girl came here by walking on the snow, and she would be able to walk steadily in the future. When she was a child, she lived deep in an alley, where there were cicadas in the summer and frost in the winter. In this life, most things are not chosen by oneself, such as the season in which one was born, the people one meets, the weather on the day of the college entrance examination, and the major on the admission notice. Her first choice was not pharmacy. She never even thought about dealing with drugs. But when the notice came, she went. People born in winter. It seems that I am not afraid of waiting. Wait for the snow to melt, wait for the road to clear, wait for yourself to slowly figure it out. She has come a long way. From elementary school in her childhood, to the middle school in the county, to the university in the city, to those days and nights standing behind the pharmacy counter, she has seen the hospital corridor at three in the morning, the trembling hands of the old man when withdrawing money, and the moment when she looked in the mirror and was speechless. There was someone she liked, but she didn't say anything about it. She had things she wanted to do and came a long way. There were times when she hated herself - hating herself for not being good enough, not brave enough, not fast enough. But she's still walking. Like roots buried in the soil in winter, there is no rush and no stop. Along the way, she learned to sit with disappointment and not rush to chase it away. She learned that not every mountain has to be climbed, and some mountains just require you to learn to circumvent. She learned to forgive—forgive fate, forgive others, and finally forgive yourself. "A Journey to Mountains, a Journey to People" is not a story about a girl's success. It's how she becomes who she is. There are no miracles. There was no "everything was fine after that". He is just a person, in a world he does not want to go, on a road he did not choose. Slowly, honestly, with all hesitation and sensitivity, he finally accepts himself, and then lives a little bit of himself. Holly, holly grown in winter. Like grass at the bottom of the snow, like medicine after frost. Just like most losers in this world, they all walk on an unplanned road. Intention: Most of life is not chosen, but walked out. The story is not about counterattack, nor is it about reconciliation. It is about a simpler fact - most of us have not embarked on the path we dreamed of when we were eighteen. A few points difference in the college entrance examination, an adjustment of aspirations, and a slight twist of fate pushed us to another path. The road can be boring, unfamiliar, and frustrating. As we walked, we looked back, thinking we were going the wrong way. But after walking for a long time, I slowly discovered that there is no right or wrong path. There are only those who have left and those who have not left. What really shapes a person is not what she chose in the first place, but how she walks, endures, and holds on on those "no choice" roads, and how she suddenly forgives everything, including herself, at an inexplicable moment. Not all roads lead to where you want to go. But all roads lead to you.
