Lu Zhaowei, the eldest son of Jiangnan Lu, suffered from cold illness after falling into a well when he was young. His legs were inconvenient, his throat was damaged, and he could not make a sound. When he was twenty-six years old, his old illness suddenly broke out, and his family was already preparing for the future.
There is an ancestral bronze lotus lantern in the old house of the Lu family. This lamp was originally offered in an abandoned temple of the previous dynasty, and the incense has never been extinguished for hundreds of years. Later, it was infected by the fire of war, human blood, and the power of wishes, and gave birth to a spirit named Zhuji.
On the night when Lu Zhaowei was critically ill, Lu's mother held up a lantern and made a wish: she would trade the rest of her life for her son's life.
Zhuji fulfilled his wish and spared Lu Zhaowei's life, but did not completely take away Lu's mother's lifespan. The reason is that Lu Zhaowei has a very heavy destiny, and he has an unfinished destiny of wealth and blood debt. If it is taken by force, it will lead to divine punishment.
So Zhuji made a deal with Lu Zhaowei:
Zhu Ji prolongs his life, cures his illness, and restores his voice and ability to walk; Lu Zhaowei must find the stolen half of the wick for Zhu Ji within a year and help him survive the "Lamp Tribulation".
Once the lamp tribulation is over, Zhu Ji can break away from the shackles of the utensils and become a real mountain spirit; if he fails to overcome the tribulation, he will be backlashed by the power of wishes and turn into an evil spirit that eats people's wishes.
Intention: Everything has a cause and effect
