Pool Water

"Chi Shui" tells the story of Qiu Shui, a young man who is "not easy to mess with", and Li Mengchi, a girl with a school domineering aura, from tit-for-tat confrontation on the high school campus to getting close to each other. Li Mengchi is a good fighter. He doesn't cause trouble but is never afraid of it. He is sweet when he is not angry. He is harder to get close to than anyone else when he is angry. His wild energy hides an unknown past. Qiu Shui, casual and a little bit bad-tempered, seems not to be trifled with, but is always paying attention to Li Mengchi's every move inadvertently. From the conflict when they first met, to the unexpected episode on the research day; from the temptation to glimpse each other's past in the second year of high school, to the tacit understanding of fighting side by side in the third year of high school; from the hesitation when filling out the application, to the calm concern after the college entrance examination... They are like two sharp-edged stones, gradually wearing away the sharpness in the collision with each other, and seeing the softness under each other's armor. The gardenias in the south bloom and wither, the snow in the north falls and melts, spanning thousands of miles, the fate hidden in the names of "Autumn Water" and "Dream Pond" finally makes this pool of water called youth full of their tenderness and determination. This is a story about growth, understanding and pursuit, witnessing how two awkward souls break through their defenses and become the most stable harbor in each other's lives. Concept: "Pond Water" takes the growth and emotional bond between Qiu Shui and Li Mengchi as the context, and explores the dialectic of "armor and weakness" - under those seemingly hard defenses, there is often fragility and tenderness that needs to be seen. Through the process of two people going from opposition to understanding, from alienation to rushing together, the story shows the contradiction between self-protection and openness in growing up, and also conveys the core of "real closeness is to be able to accept each other's edge and protect each other's softness". At the same time, the names of "Autumn Water" and "Dream Pool" are echoed, implying that the fate between people is as inclusive as the water in the pool, which can melt away the edges and corners, gather warmth, and ultimately precipitate the power of love and redemption in time.
