Wild Photographer
Chu Tian came across a set of snow leopard photos one sleepless morning.
The photographer's name is Shen Qing, and her introduction only has one sentence: "Wildlife photographer, based on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau." Someone asked her how long she had been squatting, and she replied: "For more than four years, I finally photographed a snow leopard cub this year."
Chu Tian knew that this kind of person puts one thing before everything else. He doesn't talk about whether it is worth it. He is full of enthusiasm and only says "I haven't photographed it yet."
She decided: it was her.
At the camp located at an altitude of 4,700 meters, Shen Qing behaved coldly, distantly, and unwelcomingly.
I don't read emails, don't accept projects, and don't like "following the group."
Chu Tian was rejected twice, and flew directly to Qinghai for the third time.
In the wind of the plateau, she endured the lack of oxygen and learned to pitch a tent and carry equipment up gravel slopes. Shen Qing didn't say nice things, but he would hand her a bottle of water when she had high fever and help her from behind when she couldn't reach the tent rope.
They went from strangers to "people accustomed to each other's presence."
Later, Chu Tian said that he wanted to make a documentary about Shen Qing, not about Snow Leopard, but about Shen Qing, to record how she became who she is today in more than ten years.
Shen Qing hesitated for a long time and finally said.
"I can't let others take pictures of me, only you."
The title of the film was decided: "She Seeking Wildness".
——
"You are quite interesting."
"Are you driving me away? If not, why should I leave?"
Intention: People waiting for snow leopards in the wilderness are waiting for another kind of response.
