Synopsis
County No. 1 Middle School Radio Station. Every day at six o'clock in the afternoon, the voices of four girls spread from here to every corner of the campus. Wen Nian is the webmaster and ranks first in grade. He speaks unhurriedly and every word is true. She was used to carrying - carrying responsibilities, carrying expectations, and carrying the silent weight of her brother dropping out of school for her to study. She is not used to being taken care of or being approached. When something is given to her, she will first think about "how to return it". The way of expressing tenderness is declarative, not lyrical, but the sentences are in place. Chen Zhao is a freshman in high school, calm, sharp and restrained. Her stability is a result of practice - she learned to take care of other people's feelings too early, so she is not used to letting others take care of herself. On the day of the interview, she read a piece of prose, and Wen Nian asked her, "Do you usually speak at this speed?" She said it was about the same. That was the first conversation between them. Xu Qingye is the vice chairman of the student union, Wen Nian's deskmate, and the only opponent Wen Nian cannot catch up with. She lives her life like a knife - easy to use and simple, but it can also be used against herself. Her father was a soldier and taught her that "crying is useless" and "you have to handle your own affairs." She was used to winning, not used to admitting that she couldn't catch up. Lin Wan is Chen Zhao's deskmate, who is hot on the outside and sensitive on the inside. I was isolated in junior high school and learned to protect myself with exaggerated laughter. Chen Zhao is the first person who doesn't need her to please. She regarded Chen Zhao as a safe zone and positioned herself as Chen Zhao's guardian. Four girls, four ways of expressing themselves. Wen Nian regarded goodwill as a debt, Chen Zhao put goodwill there and left, Xu Qingye hid softness in a hard shell, and Lin Wan used laughter instead of asking for help. The radio station became their frequency intersection. Here, Wen Nianhui closed the curtains when Chen Zhao was in a panic and told her, "You have to learn to forgive yourself." Chen Zhao would put the mineral water on the table without looking at the other person's reaction or waiting for the other person's thanks. Xu Qingye would say "I'm so bored" and turn around to shoulder all the thankless work alone. Lin Wan put the largest piece of braised pork into someone else's bowl and said, "Eating meat will make you feel better." They listen to each other in their own way - not with their ears, but with their attention. Notice the cup the other person didn't bring, notice the pause in the other person's voice, notice that the other person's eyes don't bend when he smiles, notice that the other person needs to be supported but doesn't want to be questioned. Wen Nian said: "The audience is more tolerant than you think." Chen Zhao said: "If you have any questions in the future, you can tell me." Xu Qingye said: "The projects that I added have to be climbed to the end." Lin Wan said: "You are like a tree. A tree that I can sleep against." County No. 1 Middle School Radio Station, four girls listening and receiving. This is the story of how a group of people who are not good at expressing themselves are "heard" by another person. The title of the book "Listening Guide" literally refers to the terminology of radio stations - frequency modulation, volume, and song request rules. But in this novel, it's also a guide to "how to listen to another person." How to hear those words that are not spoken, how to receive those signals that are suppressed, how to see a person impartially at the moment when she least wants to be seen - and then without frowning, without blaming, just quietly tuning in to the frequency and letting the signal connect. This is a story about sound. But the really important sound is never in the speakers. Purpose: Learn to listen to the words that are not spoken, and learn to be heard by another person
