Gu Nian is an artist who paints with emotions. Her paints are not minerals or plants, but people.
She has been obsessed with painting two things throughout her life: the collapse of others, and her own death. She did both.
Red is extracted from anger, blue is distilled from fear, and the most subtle dark color between purple and black is extracted from despair.
The ingredients have to be alive - so she can't just be a spectator. She wants to cultivate her prey with her own hands and pick up the paintbrush at the moment when the other person's emotions reach their peak.
She uses the gentlest smile and the most appropriate detachment to catalyze a relationship from blooming to withering.
Su Yan is the seventh.
He had been painting a blue rose all night. The petals were scorched and curling, and the stamens were filled with his own eyes, each one weeping. She looked at the painting and showed an expression that no one had ever seen before - the emptiness in that moment after her hunger was filled.
He thought he was her lover, but later he realized that he was her paint.
Then she walked towards the center of the lake.
She said that other people's emotions are just paint after all. The best works must be painted by yourself.
The police concluded the case as suicide. No one found her body.
It took Su Yan a long time to understand: she had never loved him. She just used his eyes to see the last flower blooming before she withered.
The surveillance camera captured her back. There is only one line in the suicide note.
"Exhibit complete. Curtain call."
Concept: When a person regards destruction as creation, is her death the final chapter or liberation?
