On a rainy day five years ago, Xu Nian squatted in front of a convenience store, holding a stray cat in his arms, looking extremely embarrassed. A strange man handed her a box of hot milk, said "hot", and then disappeared into the rain.
Five years later, this man became her colleague—technical leader Shen Du, as taciturn as an iceberg.
What Xu Nian didn't know was that Shen Du had been looking for her for four whole years. He never said "I love you", but he would fix her broken coffee machine, leave an umbrella for her on rainy days, and slip her favorite chocolate and a note with "It's okay" under the door.
