Intent: These goddesses are not historical figures, and mythological texts are not history books. But they have indeed been "told" for thousands of years. Those who tell stories, generation after generation, use these stories to shape culture, morals, and gender norms. These stories constitute a kind of "narrative history": not a history of facts, but a history of ideas. It tells you what a good woman is and what a bad woman is. Once the label of "bad woman" is attached, it cannot be taken off. My story is all about these labels. It's not rewriting history, it's retelling myth—in a voice that has been silenced for millennia.
