Seven years ago, Shen Du made an unanswered call in the early morning after the college entrance examination, wrote a note for help that he did not dare to hand out, and then quietly left everyone's lives. Seven years later, as an architect, he reunited with his classmate Jiang Yubai on the construction site of an unfinished dessert shop.
One hides his love in the details of the drawing, and the other puts his care in the hot chocolate and the lamp after closing. Every time we get close after the reunion is like leaving new footprints on the old snow. But what stands between them is not only the seven-year gap between them, but also the wounds left in their youth, the unspoken crush, and the long-overdue "I don't know what to do."
This is a story about lateness, silence, waiting and being caught. Snow will be late, and love will be late, but there is always someone willing to leave a light and wait for another person to slowly open the door.
Intention: The wound will not heal itself in seven years, but it can be gently illuminated and caught under a lamp left for you. True bravery may be having the courage to knock on the ajar door after being lost, while the deepest tenderness is knowing that the storm is coming, but still choosing to wait.
