The Yin Qi has not moved, the Yang Qi has not dispersed, the diet has not been taken in, the meridians are not strong, the collaterals are evenly balanced, and the Qi and blood are not disordered. Therefore, faulty pulses can be diagnosed①.
Assess the pulse, movement and stillness, observe the five colors, observe the excess and deficiency of the five internal organs, the strength and weakness of the six internal organs, and the rise and fall of the body. With this reference, the difference between life and death can be determined.
The husband's veins are the house of blood. If it is long, the Qi will be cured; if it is short, it will cause Qi disease; if it is several, it will cause trouble; if it is large, the disease will progress.
If the upper level is too high, it will cause shortness of breath; if the lower level is too strong, it will cause bloating; if it is too strong, it will cause qi weakness; if it is thin, it will cause less qi; if it is astringent, it will cause heartache.
Hun ② When the leather arrives, it is like a gushing spring, and the disease progresses and causes color defects; when it goes away continuously, it is like a broken string, which means death.
Those who are smart about the five colors are the splendor of Qi. Red wants to be like white covered with vermilion, but does not want to be like ocher; white wants to be like goose feathers, but does not want to be like salt; green wants to be like the luster of a canang jade, but does not want to be like blue; yellow wants to be like a realgar wrapped in yellow, but does not want to be like loess; black wants to be like heavy paint, but does not want to be like the pale earth. If the subtle images of the five colors are seen, their lifespan will be short.
A shrewd person should regard all things as white and black, judge short and long, regard long as short, and regard white as black. If so, the essence will decline.
It is the most important among the five internal organs. 4. If the internal organs are full, the qi may be injured, and the sound is like talking from the room, which is the dampness of the qi. He who speaks a little but keeps talking again and again all day long is this who robs his energy. Those who do not keep their clothes and quilts tight, speak good and evil words, and do not avoid those who are close or distant, this is the chaos of the gods. If there is no hiding place in the barn, it means that the door is not needed; if there is no water spring, it means that the bladder is not hiding. Those who can keep it will live, those who lose it will die.
The five internal organs of the husband make the body strong. The head is the house of shrewdness, the head is tilted and the spirit is captured. The palace in the chest is carried on the back. If the back is bent and the shoulders follow, the palace will be destroyed. The waist is the home of the kidneys. If it is difficult to turn around, the kidneys will become exhausted. The knees are the home of the tendons. If they are unable to bend or extend, they will become hunched over when walking and the tendons will become exhausted. Bones are the home of the marrow. They cannot stand for a long time. If they move, they will shake off and the bones will become exhausted. If you gain strength, you will live; if you lose strength, you will die.
