Every word, when written or read, is infused with emotion. These emotions will give words "spirit" and "heart".
"Spirit" is the reason why words are born - it can be given by the writer's emotion when writing, or by the reader's emotion when reading. "Heart" is the desire of words - it originates from the deepest desire in the heart of the writer or reader, and then becomes the obsession of the words themselves.
In human society, most words sleep peacefully, and silence plays an ordinary role. But if the "spirit" or "heart" of a text is given too strong an emotion, it will wake up and begin to affect reality with its existence.
A word about waking up may fill the whole bookstore with the aroma of stew, and may turn the pages repeatedly late at night. They are not malicious, they are just looking for the possibility of being understood in the only way they know how.
Only degree transformation can return the awakened text to dormancy, and this requires a profession to perform this ritual: the Mo Listener.
But degree transformation is never something that Tingmo people can accomplish unilaterally. Degree conversion requires two conditions: the person listening to the ink can really read it, and the text itself is willing.
The duty of the listener is to reach the source of "spirit" and "heart", truly read them, and then wait for the words to make their own decisions.
