The three people in the story are all in love, but no one has truly learned to express love. They are bound by their original family, self-esteem, restraint and habits, and ultimately grow up in constant misses. The novel hopes to explore: why many people are clearly in love, but still unable to speak; why people always understand their own feelings only after losing; and, when people are young, are they loving others, or are they looking for self-worth through "being loved". And "she is more silent than the moonlight" not only refers to Song Zhiwan's character, but also symbolizes those emotions that cannot be expressed - gentleness, restraint, long-term existence, but always staying in the night.
