In the story, his friends, rivals, master, villains, and even the fiancée who wants to break off their engagement all want to have their way with him. After enduring countless hardships, the protagonist dies sacrificing himself to the Dao, just like in the original.
Just after Xie Lin transmigrates into the book, the villain orders him to act out a sex scene with a random passerby, threatening to kill the passerby if he refuses.
Xie Lin spots a passerby in the corner, his junior brother Ming Yuchuan, and waves him over.
Ming Yuchuan is Xie Lin's junior brother, a cannon-fodder character who dies early in the original and a mere passerby in the fanfic. Unlike the other characters in the fanfic, Xie Lin doesn't have to worry that Ming Yuchuan might have feelings for him. The two often travel together.
In a secret realm, a mysterious plant forces them to kiss, and Xie Lin and Ming Yuchuan have no choice but to comply. Xie Lin steels himself, cups Ming Yuchuan's face, and says in a trembling voice, “Junior Brother, don't be nervous.”
Ming Yuchuan: “Mm.”
After a while, Xie Lin covers his face helplessly. “Why don't you kiss me instead? Then tie me up, too.”
Ming Yuchuan doesn't hold back and kisses him to his heart's content.
As their friendship grows, Xie Lin comes to trust him. “I feel safe with you. I don't have to worry about anything.”
Ming Yuchuan smiles.
It isn't until much later that Xie Lin discovers Ming Yuchuan isn't a throwaway character at all. He's the villain who was supposed to die young, but whom Xie Lin saved.
Ming Yuchuan thought he would die without anyone noticing, but he never expected Xie Lin to pay attention to him.
He hopes to grow strong enough to stand alongside Xie Lin, but then he sees Xie Lin turn down a male cultivator's confession: “Sorry, that's disgusting. I refuse.”
Too bad Ming Yuchuan has always believed that a forcibly plucked melon is especially sweet.
He thought he'd eventually wear Xie Lin down, but never expected to see Xie Lin die first. He risks his life to seize Xie Lin's belongings, survives the encirclement, and launches a frenzied campaign against the immortal sects.
When they finally meet again, Xie Lin tests the waters. “Everyone's spreading rumors that you like me. That's impossible, right? You agree, haha?”
Ming Yuchuan laughs, too. “It's not a rumor.”
Later, crimson threads bind them together. Ming Yuchuan cups Xie Lin's face, ignores the panic in his eyes, and presses his forehead against Xie Lin's, letting out a sickly sigh and chuckle. “Senior Brother, I've realized that if I want to have you, I can't just do as you say.”
Brooding, obsessive, seemingly innocent but actually scheming and manipulative younger top × Straight-laced, saintly, beautiful overpowered male lead bottom.
Please note: 1. Redemption, love rivals, younger top. 2. The bottom is strong, and so is the top. They're both very strong. 3. It might be a comedy.
