The work takes Putian Meizhou Island as the core context, focusing on the hometown of Mazu, the "goddess of peace on the sea", describing the ebb and flow of the island, the millennium of incense of Mazu's beliefs and customs, telling the touching story of countless people crossing the sea to pray for blessings and expressing gratitude for Mazu's blessings, and showing the humanistic heritage and spiritual character of Mazu culture that spans mountains and seas and spreads across the world.
