Once he learned the truth, Shi Wei packed his things and prepared to run, only to be caught by Shang Yijue, who had been ready for it. That night, Shi Wei was pinned against the headboard, warm breath brushing his left earlobe. The photograph attached beneath it was unmistakably of He Zhiyun’s annoying colleague. Bai Lin had lost so much blood he couldn’t move. He watched He Zhiyun approach with a dark expression. “Why did you come back?” “Why can’t I come back?” He Zhiyun grabbed him by the wrist. “Wife.” The two words struck like a thunderclap, leaving Bai Lin utterly stunned.
