The female protagonist is an anthropomorphic animal (lop-eared rabbit): docile, quiet, sensitive and delicate, easily shy, and will shrink silently when bullied, but will never give in to her bottom line.
The male protagonist is an anthropomorphic animal (wild wolf): aloof and rebellious, difficult to tame, aggressive, disdainful to please, extremely wary of strangers, and full of a sense of "don't mess with me".
