The whole school said that Jiang Ran from the vocational high school was a mad dog.
She kicked the provocative gangster down the stairs, recited the school's first grade in the fire scene, and smashed all rumors about her life experience with a wrench.
Until that transfer student Zhou Yin, who was always eating sweets, blocked her behind a scrapped motorcycle and wiped off the wounds on the corners of her mouth with a fruit candy paper stained with blood.
"Jiang Ran," he smiled like a real top student, "your fighting moves are exactly the same as my sister who disappeared three years ago."
Later, a group of "freaks" gathered around them——
A nursing student who can smell lies, an art student who can draw a profile of a murderer after just one look at surveillance cameras, and a martial arts heir who can punch through a security door with one punch.
Together, they investigate the sound of the piano late at night, track down the peculiar smell in the cafeteria, and uncover the bloody puzzle in the old dormitory.
In the end, all the clues pointed to a yellowed notice:
"Experimental subject number 769-773, the final stage of socialization testing has started."
It turns out those wet candy wrappers are Morse code.
It turns out that the so-called coincidental encounter is a precise calculation.
It turns out that the same fire was hidden in their erased memories.
When the poison gas leak alarm sounded throughout the campus, Zhou Yin fed the last candy into her blood-stained lips.
"Jiang Ran, the report is wrong."
He chuckled against her forehead, with the bomb counting down behind him.
"You are not a weapon-"
"You are mine, defection accomplice."
Intention: In a destiny set as a "weapon", we choose to become each other's "candy". Through the struggle of a group of teenagers between lies and truth, manipulation and resistance, the work explores the warmth of human nature, self-identity, and how emotional bonds become the only light that illuminates the way forward and resists darkness amidst cold procedures and cruel experiments. What we resist is not only the established destiny, but also the eternal questioning of "what is the true self and what is truly alive".
