At the beginning of the ancient times, the heaven and earth were in a state of stability, all things flourished, people lived in peace, and the world was peaceful. Unexpectedly, the water god Gonggong and the fire god Zhurong fought fiercely in the wilderness, until the sky was dark and the earth was dark, and the sun and the moon lost light. When Gonggong was defeated, he was so ashamed and angry that he hit Mount Buzhou with his head angrily.
Buzhou Mountain was originally the pillar holding the heaven and earth together, but once it collided, it suddenly broke. In an instant, the sky collapsed, the northwest collapsed, and a huge hole appeared; the earth cracked, the southeast sank, and torrents gushed out from the earth's veins. Fire burned the mountains, ferocious birds and beasts ran rampant in the world, the people of Li were displaced, and they were in deep disaster. Wails filled the fields, and all life was in ruins.
The goddess of creation, Nuwa, was filled with compassion when she saw that the people were in trouble, and she was determined to save the world and save all people. She traveled all over the world, looking for spiritual stones of green, yellow, red, white, and black colors, and forged them with divine fire. Day and night, she melted the stones into pulp. Nuwa took great risks, braved the power of wind and thunder, and used stone slurry to bridge the cracks in the sky, and finally repaired the incomplete sky.
Fearing that the world would collapse again, Nuwa cut off the four legs of the giant turtle and stood on the four sides as pillars of heaven to stabilize the world; she killed the black dragon to stop the disaster in Jizhou, accumulated reed ashes to block the flooding water, drove away the ferocious beasts, calmed the floods, and finally brought order to the world. These creatures born of darkness are always eager to break out of the sky. Their strength continues to increase, and there is a faint tendency to break out.
