In 1998, an angler found a headless female corpse in Xingfu Reservoir, in the Fujiang District of Dujiang City. A forensic examination confirmed that she was one of the women previously reported missing.
As people continued to disappear in the area, Officers Qin Mos and Liu Zi were sent to the victims' registered hometowns to gather leads.
On a snowy, windswept night, they were trapped by a blizzard at the Yong'an Inn in Yong'an Town. Qin Mos, ever sharp-eyed, noticed something strange about the place, and the two began investigating in secret.
In the early hours of the morning, they suddenly spotted the innkeeper and her guests moving a body to the hills behind the inn. They tried to catch the culprits, but instead were “killed” by them.
Unexpectedly, the “culprits” didn't kill them. They locked the two officers in a basement chamber beneath the inn.
As they secretly searched for clues, they discovered that the inn was far more than it seemed.
The innkeeper wasn't really the innkeeper, and the guests weren't really guests.
Who were the dead?
What were the guests' true identities?
What secrets were hidden behind it all?
