This is a world where cats live alone, without humans.
The city, the streets, and the houses are all still there, but the inhabitants are all cats. They can take human form, can talk, and have their own small society. But at heart, they are still cats: they love to bask in the sun, love to lick their fur, and will collectively become distracted by a passing butterfly.
What the world looks like
The city was much the same as we are now, but everything was "cat size". Shop doors can be pushed open by cats, bus seats are concave (convenient to nest in), and traffic light poles are wrapped with hemp rope.
The level of technology is roughly equivalent to our "smartphone era." The cats use a claw machine to read "fish sounds" (similar to Douyin), there are also takeaways (dried fish and canned cats are delivered), and social media.
But many things are simpler: no complicated politics, no wars between nations. The biggest news may be "The East District milk tea shop has released a new tuna flavored product" or "The black cat on the next street has robbed the salmon from the convenience store again."
Cats
Cats come in different breeds, just like humans have different skin colors and appearances. There are office workers (such as the civet cat who works in the fish factory), students (who need to learn the theory of catching mice and practical lessons on tree climbing), shopkeepers (the owner of a grocery store selling catnip), and homeless people (the orange cat that spends all day sunbathing on a park bench).
They have their own little troubles:
I can't get out of bed in the morning because the bed is so comfortable
Doctor warns me for being overweight
I have a crush on the ragdoll cat in the next class but I don't dare to confess.
Got into trouble with a friend over a box of limited edition cans
Purpose: To speak the language of cats in the world of cats
