Bai Sheng has selective mutism. She is not mute, but she cannot speak a complete sentence in school. Her world is made up of sound materials - waves, wind, heartbeat, breathing. She is the administrator of the school radio station and uses audio to speak for herself.
Yin Zhi was once a "piano prodigy". At the age of 13, he won the National Gold Medal and was invited to perform at the Vienna Musikverein. An accident damaged the nerves in his right hand and he could no longer play the piano. He transferred to this ordinary high school, pretending to have no interest in music, and hid all his pain under apathy and irritability.
Bai Sheng heard the "Farewell Song" he played with his left hand outside the door of the old music classroom.
She pushed open the door.
