Zane Carter is a passerby. The most inconspicuous kind.
Not a villain, not a hero, not even an anti-hero.
He is just another crazy kid in the madhouse of Gotham, living in the shadows with a baseball bat, occasionally passing by another smaller kid, squatting down to scare him, and then giving him a piece of bread.
Wayne would never know his name. There is only a serial number in Gordon's filing cabinet.
But that child will remember - there was a man wearing a sweater and hat who said he wanted to pick out his eyeballs, then gave him a piece of white bread and watched him finish it while holding his face in his hands.
Then disappeared into the Gotham night.
He would lower his hat, come closer, and grin with a crazy smile, "Bingo~ I started doing some bad things when I was 9 years old. I am a lunatic. I don't want you to control me, and you can't control me~"
After being helped, I would pick up the pen on the ward table and write a note of thanks. Looking at the crooked words I spelled, I would frown and tear it up and throw it into the trash can, then jump out of the window and leave.
His birth was like a joke from God.
They call him God's gift. The love child of a madman and a murderer is a gift from God, isn't it? How ironic!
The baseball boy always lives in his dream...
He wants to have a long, long dream...

I wrote the article when I was in a hurry, and I updated it as the occasion dictated. It was my first time writing an article, and I didn't know if I would finish it. I needed someone to remind me... The writing from a third-person perspective is not very good. I'm sorry. I'm just writing to relax. I hope you like it.
