"Eastern Chiba" series of novels:
Foreword
Dear reader, the reason why you will open this novel is because I need your rescue.
My name is Zhao Guangming. The doctor in charge said that I am a patient who needs treatment. I suffer from a disease called mental disorder. I can always hear sounds that others cannot hear and see things that others cannot.
In fact, I don't think there is anything wrong with me. I personally have nothing dissatisfied with my life. My life is no different from that of ordinary people. I eat, sleep, poop and pee, go to and from work, work and play. I laugh happily, cry sadly, get angry because I am wronged, and worry about not being understood.
I feel that everything in life is no different from the people around me, but my attending doctor and relatives and friends around me don't think so. They all say that my memory is not very good, and I will forget everything I just said and done in the blink of an eye.
The attending doctor recommended that my relatives and friends should always pay attention to me, help me, take good care of me, and even restrict my personal behavior and personal freedom. They overbearingly hope to plan everything for me in my daily life, including my future and life. They told me what was right and wrong, what I could do and what I couldn't do.
I asked them puzzledly why they wanted to control me like this.
As a result, they told me that because I was a patient, I not only had a poor memory, but also liked to have wild thoughts and then talk nonsense. I didn't know how much trouble I caused, how many jokes I made, how many big shots I offended, and how many troubles I caused.
Regarding my illness, I actually don't even understand it myself. I obviously just say whatever I want in my mind. What's true is true, and what's false is false. But such sincerity turns into stupidity, brainlessness, and heartlessness among the people around you. Even the attending doctor judged that I had a mental problem. If I didn't have a mental problem, who would tell the truth to others? Do normal people lie all the time?
I think I really have a problem! Because if you lie every day, your life will feel boring. However, I don't admit that I have any major mental problems. I just want to be simpler in my mind and treat people more sincerely. In other aspects, I don't see much difference from ordinary people. The only special thing is that I like to fantasize. In the vernacular, I like to daydream.
I believe everyone has heard the story of Zhuang Zhou Mengdie. My situation should be similar to the story of Zhuang Zhou dreaming of a butterfly. Zhuang Zhou dreamed that he turned into a butterfly, and I had not only the dream of turning myself into a butterfly, but also all kinds of other weird dreams.
For example, I would dream about flying in the sky like a bird; I would also dream about swimming in the sea like a fish; I would also dream about myself running in the wilderness like a beast; occasionally I would dream about crawling under the ground like an insect or ant. So I couldn't figure out the difference between myself and the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, the beasts in the wasteland, and the insects and ants under the ground.
Among my many fantasies, there is also a friend named Dongfang Qianye. I have no way to prove the existence of Dongfang Qianye to others, and there is no way for others to make me deny the existence of Dongfang Qianye. Because only I could see Dongfang Chiba, and only I could hear Dongfang Chiba speak, the attending doctor used this to prove that I had symptoms of visual and auditory hallucinations.
In order to prove the existence of Eastern Chiba to everyone, I wrote all this and asked all readers to analyze for me whether the Eastern Chiba in my belief really exists.
If Dongfang Chiba really exists, it will save my faith; if Dongfang Chiba does not exist, it will also save my illness.
No matter what, when you read this novel, you are saving my life.
Here I am, thank you to every dear reader!
