He was fired because of the failure of a confidential experiment codenamed "Zhulong" three years ago. Now he works as a science popularizer in a third-rate technology self-media. On the surface, he looks bad, but in fact he has never given up investigating the truth of the year.
One day, an unknown program called "BuTian" was forcibly implanted into her mobile phone. The program told her: There are seven "technological singularities" in history - human civilization should have branched out at seven nodes: bronze smelting, steam power, electrical revolution, nuclear fission, the birth of the Internet, gene editing, and the awakening of artificial intelligence. However, someone is looking back on the timeline and tampering with the direction of these nodes.
And she is the only person who can enter the system to "correct" it. As for the reason? The program refused to answer.
The system administrator bound to her, codenamed "Timing", is a man who only exists in the form of a holographic projection. He claims to be a personality interface generated by the system, but at critical moments he always shows judgment that far exceeds that of AI and... A certain disturbing possessiveness.
Under the arrangement of the system, Su Wan formed the "Tian Mending Team" with Pei Shixu and three teammates who joined one after another - archaeological graduate Jiang Shu, black market prosthetic doctor Zhong Li, retired e-sports player and metaphysics enthusiast Xiaoliu, traveling through different eras and confronting the tampered history.
As the mission progressed, Su Wan discovered that the historical background of each time travel exactly corresponded to the experimental parameters of the "Zhulong Project". She began to wonder - is this so-called "Matching the Sky System" the guardian of history, or is it a prison written by her own hands?
Purpose: Not just shouting "technology for good", but presenting a cruel proposition through each unit story - every "technological leap" that humans think of has a price that is erased behind it. The mission of the protagonist group is not to prevent technological progress, but to ensure that those who were sacrificed are at least remembered.
