The story of an archaeologist and a sculptor——
About bones, betrayal, and relearning to stare at a living person.
Cen Qin & Jiang Wenyi
Cen Qin does not believe in living people. She only believed in bones.
Jiang Wenyi was the first person who made her feel that "a living person can be as honest as a bone." He caressed her bones with a sculptor's hand and celebrated her structure with an artist's eye.
"That's the highest compliment," he said.
She believed it.
Until she discovered that the way he looked at her was no different from the way she looked at a skeleton from two thousand years ago.
And when she finally made up her mind to leave, his response was a sculpture based on her——
An eternal, naked, skinless...
Before they met, Cen Qin already had a perfect frame.
Throughout the story, she never lived.
Concept: The lost and recovered subjectivity is from "being shaped" to "self-shaping"
