Around the 23rd year of the Republic of China, Linchuan, a trading city in the south of the Yangtze River, was prosperous on the surface, with celebrities gathered, warlords were still in power, and various factions were intertwined. The old-style big families still maintained their dignity, but in fact they had long been decayed internally.
The most prominent family in the city is the Shen family. The Shen family started out by transporting silk, medicinal materials, and salt. They were both black and white, and had contacts with chambers of commerce, military and political circles. Ten years ago, a sudden "murder case" of the Shen family shocked the whole city, but the case was hastily closed, leaving only one theory: "The head of the Su family collaborated with bandits to make money, set fire in the middle of the night, implicated the Shen family, and committed suicide out of fear of crime."
The only surviving daughter of the Su family has been missing for many years.
Ten years later, she returned with a different name.
